About the Author
Dr. Jeff Strickler was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, but his family roots in Montana date back to the early years of the twentieth century.
In 1975, after a pediatric residency at Stanford University and two years in the U.S. Air Force in Alaska, he and his wife Karen returned to those roots. They raised their children in Helena where he opened the Helena Pediatric Clinic and practiced for 30 years. Upon retirement in 2005, they moved to Big Sky to continue to enjoy the outdoor life with skiing, hiking, and wandering through the land and its stories.
